The villany of Galrath - Lions Arch
i would like to attempt this quest but dont know how to get even close to Kessex Peak. Anyone care to tell me what town I should start from and what direction to travel.
I know Galrath is in the wizards tower at Kessex Peak that appears to be below Divinity Coast but I have no clues as to how to get there, all help gratefully appreciated.

I may well do ...but I dont know where the temple of ages is.
I have D'Alessio Seaboard, bergen Hot Springs, Lions Arch, Gates of Kryta, beetletun, Divinity Coast, Druids Overlook, Quarrel Falls, Ventaris Refuge.
Where do I start from to get to the temple of Ages?

There is a map on the home page of this site.
For directions, start from Beregen Hot Springs. I am fairly confident it is impossible to get there from Divinity Coast which looks closer, unless you head through Beetletun into the Beregen Hot Springs area, in which case, it would just be faster to go from the Hot Springs.

lol, when I started playing GW way back in Apr, I joined a PUG which claimed it was possible to get to TOA by exiting the West exit of Beetletun. Needless to say, after running around aimlessly with several ppl dying, it was a failure...

First....like everyone has said, go to ToA. Get yourself in a pick up group if you can and they will now the way. Otherwise, grab the ever popular henchies and head due south from ToA. Im pretty sure you get the arrow from the Black curtain, but if you dont, its south.

head west and a little south from beetletun to get to Temple of ages. From there, head very far south (and a little east), and just keep going.
Also, a note about the green arrow. You only get it when you're in the same map zone as the quest, or 1 away.

Or a very short one, depending on how many Verata's you aggro at once.
You know, wasn't Verata the guy in pre-searing that gives necros their very first quest outside of town? What's he doing running some kinda undead horde way the hell out in Middle of Nowhere, Kryta?

Verata was also the Renegade Necromancer you are charged to find outside of Yak's Bend. Remember him talking about his "experiments?"

you can get a runner to ToA from bergen no problem and i would say it is the easiest place to fight from as well.
from ToA you just head south with a bit of west to get to Kessex (you should have an arrow when in the black curtain anyway)
always bring rebirth.....

Heh, something funny happened when I was completing this quest today. As we were fighting the eyes and apprentices of verata, everyone else died expect me (mostly because i had droknars armor). Then I decided to run away to galrath to maybe try to slay him
Well now comes the funny part. When I got there, the verata guys started attacking galrath. The whole party was laughing and cheering
Well Galrath cant beat 20x lvl 20 guys alone, so he died and we completed the quest. We were a bit lucky :P

lol, the same thing sorta happened to me. In the valley right before we reached Galrath we came across hoards and hoards of Minotars and Oakhearts. We were lucky enough to aggro virtually all of them.
In the end me and one other member were left alive (no rez either). Three other members instantly left. So me and this other guy decided to run to Galrath in an attempt to at least find out where he was and what was around him.
While running towards him we had a couple dozen enemies chasing us. Funny thing is when we got to Galrath, every enemy that was chasing us stopped and turned around. That left me an my buddy vs Galrath and 3-4 bandits. He was toast. Morale: dont leave your party.

I actually soloed this quest today...it turns out that if you lure the verata away from galrath, they'll stay in the area that you lure them from.
I wound up luring all of the verata away, leaving me a straight shot at Galrath and his bandits. Too funny.

i had the whole "let the other baddies kill him" thing happen to me. one guild member and I were all that was left, and we aggroed a crap-load of stuff, so we thought "hey lets run for galrath..see what happens." well, they killed him for us..then they killed us. but we still beat the mission. so hah.

Follow the leader
When we did this mission we used a couple of Warriors to aggro the minotaurs and heavy hitting casters to help them. It took a while but makes the next part easier. When we got to Galrath's area we just aggro'ed the bad guys and ended up with a train of about 75 of them following our ranger and a warrior back down the hill through the pass. It left Galrath WIDE open. Trial and error a couple times but succeded without too much of a DP. Just a suggestion. Hope it works well for you too. PS I did this with one partner and henchies as well.
